Experience Swiss urban art
As the name suggests, urban art can usually be found in an urban context. The concept therefore fits Zurich Airport in two ways: the microcosm of the airport itself and the Circle as a new, urban district.
Find out more about the three Swiss artists and the works they designed specially for the airport below.
Onur Dinc
The Berlin-based artist, who grew up in Solothurn and has Turkish roots, mainly paints using acrylic rollers and brushes, and has a characteristic photorealistic style.
Onur’s artwork reflects the four seasons in Switzerland and also contains a hidden message.
"We connect people and places. We are an international transport hub and platform where people meet. - This is not only the core of the Zurich Airport corporation, but also the message behind Onur’s unique artwork".
If you record these sentences in German, a so-called soundwave becomes visible. The amplitude on the soundwave of these two sentences defined the features of the landscapes in this work of art.
