Zurich Airport is constantly undergoing further development. Existing infrastructures are being optimised and maintained to ensure a smoothly functioning airport for future generations.

A 7,600 m2 building, which will be used entirely by dnata Switzerland AG, is being constructed in the Rächtenwisen zone.

Car Park P9 – New Parking Spaces and Central Car Rental Facility

In the Oberhau area, a new multi-storey car park with a central car hire point and additional parking spaces is to be built.

Check-in 1 – Restrictions due to construction work

During the Winter timetable 24/25 extensive construction work on the baggage carousels will be in progress at Check-in 1 NSouth. 23 check-in counters at Check-in 1 North will therefore not be operational during this period.

Subglacial groove – a natural heat and cold storage

Underneath the airport site is a groove located, which might be suitable to serve as a heat and cold storage. According tests are in progress.
